Cobalt sulfate is commonly used in the production of ceramic glazes, paint driers, fuel additives, and various cobalt-based compounds. It also serves in electroplating processes and is added to alkaline batteries and animal feed.
The boiling point elevation of cobalt sulfate solution is relatively low, allowing flexibility in process design. Depending on the energy source and operational needs, either an MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) system or a multi-effect evaporation setup can be used to concentrate the solution. After evaporation, the concentrated liquid undergoes cooling crystallization to obtain cobalt sulfate crystals with high efficiency and product consistency.
